One of the things that powers Twitter is retweets. This is where a Twitter user copies someone else’s tweet with their own comment or comment to their page. Supporting, promoting this tweet, or mentioning the retweeter in person are ways to show others what is being said about them. So here, how to create a Twitter retweet bot?
If you retweet, you will appreciate these retweets if you talk about yourself or your business to improve yourself. They are what is called “social proof”. If many people sing your praises, it shows others that you are worth watching. As a writer and writer this is an invaluable advertisement for my brand.
But if you don’t have a lot of time to devote to Twitter, you will need to automate the entire retweeting process. That’s why you should consider setting up a retweet bot.

What is a bot?
A bot is a scripting program that runs on a network (Twitter in this case) and interacts with others as well as humans. Thanks to Facebook Messenger, the daily use of bots online has increased in recent years. But on Twitter, it’s nothing new and has been around for years.
You can tell it to do certain tasks, provided certain criteria are met. If it enters a retweet and it meets all of the criteria you set, then it will tell you what to do – in which case, say it again to your page.
But you have to be very careful because some people (including Twitter) may see this as spam. If so, your account may be closed. So keep an eye on your Twitter account for the first few days or weeks. If things start to look a little too spammy, disable the bot.
Another thing to keep in mind is that mentioning Twitter can be a complaint rather than a compliment. If your boot is showing this again, you’re giving the complaint a pair of feet!

Let’s Create a Twitter ReTweet Bot!
Assuming I’m not depriving you of the idea of a retweet bot, let’s make you the proud parent of one.
First, go to the Twitter Developer section and click “Create an app”. You will see it as “Create an App” in the upper right corner of the page.
You will need to apply for a developer account (assuming you don’t already have one). This confirmation may take a day or two. You need to be patient until it comes back. There is no way to speed up or rush the process.
If you have permission to create app, click “Create an app” again and complete the details. There are only four “mandatory” questions. You need to give your app a name, explain its purpose (twice), and provide a website address. So, you can complete the rest if you wish, but it is not required.
You can write “Twitter Retweet Bot” in the App Name to create.
In the Application Description section, “Will retweet mentions of men on Twitter on my own Twitter page.” It will suffice to write
Click on “Create” at the bottom and “Developer Terms” will appear.
Quickly scan them and click “Create” again to complete the process.
On the next page, click “Keys and Tokens” at the top.
Then go to “Access code and access code secret“. Click the “Generate” button for Twitter to make these keys for you.

These keys should be kept secret. Don’t explain them to anyone.
We now use a tool developed by the fantastic Amit Argawal of Digital Inspiration. He wrote a Google script called Twitter Bots. Click this link and authorize Twitter Bots with your Google account.
After doing that, you will see this screen.
From the Twitter Developer page, add your API keys to the space on the page Amit is seen above.
Next, add the Twitter search you want the bot to perform for you. So, if you want to track all mentions about your username, you add your username to this line (preceded by @).
Select the desired action from the drop-down list (Select Action). In this case, “Retweet Tweet”.
Now test it by clicking the “Check” button. This sends the bot to Twitter to return results based on your Twitter search criteria.
Don’t forget to bookmark the Twitter Bots page where you enter your API key information. If you need to change something or turn off the bot, this is the page to go back to.
Now follow your Twitter page and eventually retweets will start appearing.

Other Search Terms
As I said at the beginning of the article, you need to keep an eye on your Twitter account in the early days of the bot. If you do not want spam to be retweeted on your account, otherwise you will lose your followers and in a worse scenario, you will have your account suspended by Twitter.
If all else fails, you’ll have to disable the bot, but before you go that far, you can add other search terms to narrow down the results. For example, here are three good ones.
Obviously, changing the hashtag is the actual hashtag you want to watch. This is good for promoting Twitter contests you can run.

Replace yourwebsite with the name of the website you want to monitor.
min_retweets: 5
This can help tremendously with the spam problem. Adding this will only retweet something if there are already at least 5 retweets by others. You can replace 5 with any number you want.
