You can get help from a site called “ezgif.com” to save a GIFs on Twitter. This site can help you save a GIF from Twitter in a quality size. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Copy the URL of the GIF you want to save from Twitter
  2. Go to “ezgif.com/optimize”.
  3. Paste the copied URL into the text box that says “OR paste image URL”:
  4. Then “Install!” Click the option.
  5. Once this procedure is complete, you will see the result on the same page just below the text box.
  6. Right click the result and then click “save image” and you will have fantastic GIF quality in your device storage.

Saving GIFs using an app

Another option is to use a third-party mobile app where you can save the GIFs from Twitter. One of the apps is TWEET2GIF made for Android devices. This app helps you download a GIF from Twitter in both MP4 formats and GIF. To save GIF from Twitter via TWEET2GIF, you can follow these simple steps:

  1. Copy the URL of the GIF you want to save from the Twitter app (expand the tweet details, then click more from the menu and select Copy link to tweet)
  2. Open the TWEET2GIF mobile app
  3. Just paste the copied URL into the app
  4. Finally, choose the format you want to download the GIF (MP4 or GIF).

If you are unable to use any of the methods mentioned above, you can choose the following:

  1. First, download the GIF from Twitter as a video from a site called “saveeo.site
  2. To download the GIF as a video like we did in TWEET2GIF, copy the URL of the GIF tweet and paste it into the text box on saveeo.site and then click the Download button
  3. Click the Download button on the main page and a new page will open and just click the small download button on the right side of the new page and the video format of the GIF will be downloaded.
  4. Now that you have the video, it’s time to visit “ezgif.com”.
  5. Then select “GIF to GIF” option from the menu and then browse your saved MP4 video and select your saved MP4 video and upload it.
  6. One more thing before getting the GIF is to adjust the Frame rate (FPS) to get a smooth animation. It is recommended to keep the FPS at 20 seconds.
  7. Finally, click the “Convert to GIF” button.
